This Website has been designed to suit the syllabus outcomes of the Australian Higher School Certificate for Biology. The main focus point of this site is the kidney and its function inside mammals and fish. The syllabus outcomes that are addressed by this site are as follows:
- 9.2.3.2.3 identify the role of the kidney in the excretory system of fish and mammals
- 9.2.3.2.5 distinguish between active and passive transport and relate these to processes occurring in the mammalian kidney
- 9.2.3.2.6 explain how the processes of filtration and reabsorption in the mammalian nephron regulate body fluid composition
